      <title>Transit Data in Google Maps</title>
      <link>http://sumaato.typolis.net/stories/12729/</link>
      <description>

Integration of Transit into Maps: As of today, transit icons on Google Maps are clickable in many locations around the world! Earlier in the year, we added transit icons for subway and light rail stations in major cities, but this release goes a step further and adds bus stop information for the cities we have it for. Icons for agencies that share data with us for Google Transit show additional information (in these cities, we show bus stops on the map tiles, and clicking on an icon shows line and departure information).

      <title>Hack Day London</title>
      <link>http://sumaato.typolis.net/stories/12576/</link>
      <description>

From their site:

&quot;We&apos;ll be inviting 500 developers to attend the event, which will begin with hack-related presentations from some of the Web&apos;s most respected developers. We will then dive into 24 hours of hacking on a very nice collection of tools, APIs, and data, and end with awards from the sponsors plus bragging rights until the end of eternity or the next Hack Day, whichever comes first.&quot;

Now I have to thing about what kind of hack will be my part...

WikiMapia is a project to describe the whole planet Earth. Just move the map to find interesting places, click on rectangles. A new feature lets you frame an area on Wikimapia and add it to your own site or blog instantly!</description>

      <title>Flickr Map GeoCoding Bookmarklet</title>
      <link>http://sumaato.typolis.net/stories/4323/</link>
      <description>

I just spend some time to create a slim bookmarklet that enables mapping, geocoding and (of course) geotagging directly in your Flickr photo page. It works with all common browsers (Firefox, IE, Safari, Opera) without the need for any extension.

To run it, simply drag it to your tool bar, visit one of your photo pages, hit it again and your done. No sluggishly page refresh, just simple AJAX style behind the curtain ;)

UPDATE
- Switch to fullscreen version (NEW)
- Smooth zoom when map was double clicked (NEW)
- Link to map added in description (NEW)
- Batch tagging: Remember last saved location (NEW)
- See where someone else&apos;s photo has been taken
- GeoCoder adjusted (try search for &amp;quot;nyc&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;10101&amp;quot;)
- Long/Lat input possible (eg. &amp;quot;N 40&amp;deg;45&apos;, W 73&amp;deg;59&apos;&amp;quot;)
- Easy EXIF geo data extraction (if you&apos;ve used GPS-devices)

Localize Bookmarklet

ps: I developed it using dynamic scripts. So all future improvements will be available without any worry. If you miss something, drop it in the comments and I&apos;m gonna care about...
