About: web, chat, software

The guys from 37signals released their next bit hit called Campfire. It is announced as a group chat for your business. So you can chat via a regular webpage and on a permanent URL. Campfire chats don't require special chat software or networks. Filesharing seems to be easy.

So I am looking forward to test it. Doing it at my own does not make sence. So see ya there.

I already did the test. It is as simple as possible. Inviting and disinviting people, making chat rooms public, file exchange... everyting works fine. The chats are logged, but you still have the alternative to make them private.

There's a delay of one or two seconds until the postet messages appear in the dialog. In my test chat it did not matter.

It technichally works with up to 40 people. Did anyone ever chat within such a huge group? I wonder if that still makes sense.
