The MobiLife consortium consists of 22 partners in 9 countries, 5 application owners and SMEs, 3 operators, 8 manufacturers and 6 academic partners. MobiLife is part of the Wireless World Initiative (WWI), which comprises several projects for IST.

Opera Mini



Opera Software today announced the worldwide release of Opera Mini, the free full Web browser that runs on almost every mobile phone, including low- and mid-end handsets.

Instead of requiring the phone to process Web pages, it uses a remote server to pre-process the page before sending it to the phone. This makes Opera Mini perfect for phones with very low resources, or low bandwidth connections.

Geominder - Location based Reminders



Geominder allows you to create location-based reminders that stay attached to physical locations. When arriving at a marked location, Geominder can play an alarm and display a stored text note or a voice note previously associated to the location. A location-based reminder can be much more convenient than standard time-based reminders so go and test it on your mobile!
