New iBooks in January?!

Various rumors sources around the web report, that the new iBooks with Intel processors are almost there: they could be introduced in January at MacWorld SanFrancisco.

Xbox 3 on Sale in the US

The sale of Xbox 3 started in the United States this morning. No word about the previuos conspiracy rumors, Microsoft would intentionally shorten the number of Xboxes in the stores to be even more demanded.

We (as we are in Europe) still have to wait until December 2nd to get our new Xbox. Damn! Does anybody know where to get a cheap flight to the States?

Etsy

This is a damn cool thing: Etsy the "social" ebay 2.0. It makes so much fun to browse the offers using the timeline, color picker or a world map. Nice use of flash a lot of well designed and beauty features:

MWSF: Brand New Intel Macs

Shame on me, none of my top 3 rumors is true. Steve Jobs surprised us again: no new iBook (although it is way overdue), no Mac Mini Media Center. But A NEW POWERBOOK MacBook Pro (the new name that stands for the Macintel era).

The design is almost the same like the latest aluminium ones, but the specs are really promising: faster, thinner, brighter, lighter etc. The CPU: a Intel Core Duo with 1,67/1,83 GHz, that is up to 5 times faster than the 1,67 GHz G4. Read the full specs on apple.com and the first Hands-on at Engadget.

Secondly: the new iMac.

The Design hasn't changed neither, but it has the Core Duo as well, which seems to be three times faster like the latest G5 processor in the iMac. The specs are on Apple's Webpage.

In other words (and that applies for iMac and Powerbook): G4 and G5 Macs are slow! Today we can finally admit.

What's coming up next? The MacBook as a replacement for the iBook? Won't last too long...

PS: This guy seems to have some good sources at Apple. All of the guesses he posted on his weblog became true!
